LSi15 placement.

I have a hard room to set up for HT. My TV is above a corner fireplace. (gas so no chimney) with a LSiC on top of the TV. (about a foot from the ceiling angled to point at the couch in the opposite corner.)

Should I place my LSi15's against the wall about 6 feet apart with them facing forward? (look at the backslash key on your keyboard (the LSi) and think of a verticle line beside it (left channel) and and horizontal above it (right channel))

Should I put them in backwards (left one on right and right one on left) so tweeters are facing the outside and the woofers are facing each other?

Any pros or cons to either setup?

you never know until you try. some situations that you think will be impossible end up sounding great. some folks here have had good results with corner placements.

pics and layouts are always cool but i would try it first and see how it sounds. take your time and move them around a bit even if you think they sound ok the first place you put them. you'll probably hear changes with minor moves, though, large moves will help you understand the range of possibilities and give you an idea of what to look for when finer tuning. if they're new, it will take a while for them to break-in and you might end wanting to experiment with positioning again in a month or two.

a good test to see if things are working right is moving sounds. if the image travels smoothly around the stage and doesn't vary in volume from one beat or move to the next most other things will fall into place. one disc with moving images at various frequencies might help speed things up. sometimes placements that work great for highs or mids might not work so great for low frequencies and you'll end up having to trade off to get everything working well enough. pink floyd's 'dark side of the moon' is a good one if you have it, though i'm sure many movies will do better.
