Is Polk Audio strict about honoring warranties on speakers? So many manufacturers have warnings about buying from "unauthorized" dealers, but what about e-bay and things like that? If I buy a new, unsealed pair of LSi 9's on e-bay, will the warranty still be good? I'm buying for a friend and trying to keep the costs down, and I know there are lower prices out there. Any info available would be great. Thanks.

I've never read here of Polk not backing their gear. Can't recall even seeing that they asked for a copy of a receipt to ber included when they advise to send in a defective part or unit.
Polk does NOT cover EBay purchases...
If you caused the problem with an unauthorized purchase, you pay for it. If you didn't cause it, Polk will pay for it.
When I thought I blew my RTi tweeter, I had to pay for a replacement. Turned out, it was the crossover ---- and then I had to return the tweeter and he sent me a FREE crossover. So you get the idea...

Damned if you're not on this one, Sid...
