can this be done will this affect the sound id I use 2 dig coax instead of a pair of stereo analog cables ?

Should be A-OK. I've used RCA cables as digi coax before, and when the quality/guage were up to snuff, it worked fine.

Sure it will work as far as being a conduit for electrons... copper is copper, and all that...

How will it sound? That's for you to determine...

is it a very good substitute or should I stick with RCA. the reason I ask is I donlt wanna go buy digcoax if they will not work as well as rca

I'd keep digital for digital and analog for analog.

You could give it a try with 2 digital coax if you had 2. If you're going to buy another one just to try, I'd say forget it and use that money for better analog RCA's.

Agree with dc, if a purchase is involved...

All I was saying is that digital coax will carry an analog signal.. not what they are intended for, but they will do it, i.e., music will come out of those little boxes that make sound...

The quality of that sound, how well it pleases your ear is up to your ear (or ears, if you are a typical humanoid...)

Willow, did you get in the cable demo loop when it swung through CA?

No I didn't now I'm kicking my self in the A$$ .. I wish I would have it would have given me a chance to either disspell the snake oil theory or believe in it !!

One last item regarding digcoax, can I use one as my subcable it seems much thicker than the actual subcable ? I think I can but as rule of thumb just wondering
