I just bought a carver ct-26v preamp/tuner off ebay,I dint receive a manual for it so I need to know a few things wondering if someone could help me out.It is a surround sound preamp, but I am just using it for two channel,it has few buttons that I dont understand for mode, they are...bypass,hall,studio,delay,and decorr,I assume most of these are to do with surround,I will only ever use it for two channel,so what mode should I run it in?
BTW...a many of you on here convinced me to by a preamp,I was running my carver amp with my denon receiver, using it as a preamp, was not all that impressed and was going to buy a second amp,but everybody told me to make my next purchase a decent preamp, that it would really help the performance of the amp itself,I have to say...money well spent!I thought it was all about your amplifier, didnt know your pre made that much of a difference, but man it does, the music is so much clearer, more defined I guess. This is just an entry level for me,I plan on selling the carver stuff up the road and replacing with better equiptment,I like the sound of carver, but because their basically out of buiessness I will get something more up to date, thanx again for all ya'lls input!

Shop this guy's ebay store... He likely has you covered and produces beautiful manuals. I have won several from him...
His BIN prices are fair, but you can likely win an auction at or just above the opening bid.
ebay name is techman777...

Rick's manuals are far superior to Mike's at vintagemanuals.com
I have purchased both, and it's a fact.

Mike's place needs a web-master in a most serious way. What a mess to look at plus unorganized…I can’t make heads or tails.
Black, green, blue, red and that's just the text colors and every other thing is under-lined?
Somewhere in there he said had been having problem answering emails for a couple of years? '(OUR #1 "BUG-A-BOO" (and biggest source of personal frustration) FOR A COUPLE YEARS).'
Computer years are allot like dog years [7 to 1] so two year is like forever.
If I had just stumbled across this site I wouldn't of even wasted 2 seconds of my time on it.
Good manuals you say.

Rick is the owner, not Mike. He does excellent work, and all you have to do is take the time to send an email. He's a one man show, sorry the website didn't "WoW" you.

Sorry Mike and sorry Rick. Rick may need some help, you can't do it all. The web-site is as I said and 'WoW' just about covers it.

PS Send an email to ask what? After 15 min I still didn't have a clue and anyone defending this website isn't doing Rick any favors. About the only thought I got after 15 min was the ‘Wall of Vintage’ equipment that must need an air conditioner! Sorry.

marly,
I don't see anyone defending the web site design, just the product and the owner...

Email him your request, it's not an online store. It's stated clearly on the first page IMO, "Terms/ How to Purchase".
Don't waste your time, there are other sites if it's too confusing.
