Bizarre hook-ups that work!

Bought Polk Monitor 11t's in 1988! (yeah I'm old). Been running on a Bryston 4B amp all this time...had to replace a driver only once. Still got 4 years warranty left on the Bryston and still cooking on the Polks (once I get my replacement driver). Works and everyone loves the sound.



System:
Bryston 4B amp
Bryston .5B pre-amp
Polk Monitor 11t (that's what the tag shows!)
Denon Dr-M24Hx cassette
Taya turntable (bought in 1976 and still rocks steady at 33.3!!)
Sony CDP-C500 Cd player
AKAI 4000-DS Mk2 4 track reel to reel (also 1976 vintage and fully funtional)
LG DV6932NC DVD player
Monitor: pending, presently LG 17"(not big on video!)

You're just a pup. I bought my first nice 2CH rig (Nakamichi 620 powering Maggie MG-1's) in 1977. The Nak dropped a channel after 18 years, maggies going strong (after a DIY tweeter rebuild this year.)

I just acquired a pair of 11's from another forum member. Nice sound.

DDM - You mean the Bryston/ Polk combo? It's certainly not common for the monitors....sounds like a good combo.
