Can I use a pro DJ amp with home audio?

Can I plug a pro amp into pre outs. Something like a Crown, a Crest, or a QSC? I DJ weddings and dances and may buy one used and could kill 2 birds with one stone and use it as a 2 channel. They pump major power....

Now I haven't tried it. You could use it, but if your looking for quality, I would say no. They are designed for high output, but not refined high output. But it is your rig...

I use a Crest Audio pro amp for my Lsi15's. Probably the most dramatic improvement I've ever made in sound quality for my system. Previously I was robbing the Lsi15's of the power they needed. I just didn't realize it until reading some of these forums. Now the Lsi15's are rich, deep, and tight sounding. I love it.
But, I have never had them hooked up to something like what you would typically consider your home theatre pro amp. It would be interesting to see how much of a difference there would be. I do know with no signal going through my amp and only the pro-pro and amp turned on, there is a slight hiss coming from the tweeters when you put your ear right next to them. Maybe a high quality home theatre amp would not do that. But the hiss is so typically inaudible that I really enjoy the amp for normal listening.
Someday I definitely plan to buy a multi-channel home theatre power amp. I just don't have the money right now ;)

Wouldn't be a problem as long as the Pro amp still uses composite inputs. Pro amps are designed for large amounts of output and a VERY aggressive sound. Home audio amps (typically) are designed for the cleanest, warmest sound. It depends what you're trying to get from your speakers. But it will work.

Just wanted to mention additionally, even if your pro amp doesn't have composite inputs, you can find cable manufactures which provide composite on one end and a different terminator on the other. Personally I had to use a cable which has composite on one end and 1/4 inch terminators on the other.
