I'm thinking about buying a 'Buttkicker System from The Guitammer Company' for some new Home Theater chairs I just purchased.Does anyone have any views about this system or some other one that I should consider? Thanks in advance for your help.

I get the purpose of those things...............but I don't get the logic of people buying them.

What do people think is going to be the longterm outcome of their furniture with something like that on there?

Forget the furniture, pity the poor amp...

2-ohm load with minimum of 400 W required...

MSRP $399.95 plus an amp? And about as cute as a Pet Rock... Ummmmm.... no....

Spend the money on a better sub(s). A good sub will provide ample tactile feedback.

Forget the buttkicker. Go with a ClarkSynthesis. It is a much higher fidelity model. I've used 4 of them to shake my living room and compared them with buttkickers at a friends house. The Clarks are much nicer.

Also, if you get the larger Clark model, many reccomend mounting your furniture on a platform, a plywood sheet under couches, or mounting it under-floor. I hear it does very well. Of course, I agree with the better sub theory if there's no WAF or neighbor problems...
