I’ve changed all my speakers from RTI’s(8ohm) to lSI’s(4ohm).
LSI7-front
LSIC-center
LSIFX-surrond
Denon-3803

I’m considering buying a three-channel amp for the fronts and run the surrounds off the Denon,
any obvious drawbacks to this idea? I figure this would take a lot of the load off the Denon , and I could probably pick up a three channel for less $ than a five.

System used for HT, and music in stereo or prologic.

I would believe that 3 would be more than fine. Give your situation that's what I would do. Actually I'd probably go with a number of stereo amps and use accordingly (left front & right surround, center & rear, etc).

Only drawback I see is leaving three Denon ch's behind....

Try three and bi-amp your front stage with the Denon and the outboard amp...

An amp is a terrible thing to waste...

Is there a sub in this picture?
