My brother and I both had our trucks bed lined at a place called Oil Trell(sp?) in Corpus Christi--its not rhino--but it was cheaper and has a life time warranty. Well this was when my brother went to school here. Now he lives about 3 hours away.
Well, his liner was chipped pretty bad so he came up here and got my dad's truck and took it to the parents house and left his truck up here. My mom took it to the place to get it redone. She waited for a while and picked it up. She looked at it and saw it was freshly coated so she went home.
The truck was at my parents house for a few days before my brother picked it up. He came up to the parents house again to pick it up and he checked out the bedliner...
You'd never guess what they did...
They SPRAY PAINTED IT BLACK!!
I guess they figured that since my mom is a woman they could just pull that crap and get away with it. Ok I give 'em that...but really-what married woman in her 50s drives a 3/4 ton extended cab GMC with an eclipse head unit and Rockford Fosgate components and subs??
There's not really a point to this thread--just to ask when did people become so corrupt?
My brother called them and bitched them out and so on. I would've done the same, but also threatened with legal action, and reported their ass to the BBB.
unbelieveable

Kinda funny (in the strange sense of course) to me cause' my English Class was discussing American Businesses, and we came to the conclusion, when hasn't business been corrupt? I suppose we've been spoiled by Companies such as Polk...

That's messed up...It seems like nobody gives a crap anymore. And the businesses that do care are few and far between. Reminds me of George Carlin talking about businessmen on one of his shows saying how they don't even trust eachother, then he says that one businessman has to "do" the other businessman a little harder and a little faster before he himself gets "done."

On that note, I work for a large auto finance company and you guys have to see what these dealers do to customers....scary

The only "language" that business' speak anymore is court. Take photo's, get your documentation together and first threaten a lawsuit. If you get no response, get a lawyer and make sure you also recover money for court costs, time spent preparing the case, lost work, devaluation of the truck, etc. It's important to maintain professionalism with these people and let them know what evidence you have put together. Document all conversations with a witness, and deal with them in black & white if possible. Any letters sent to them need to be sent US Mail registered/return receipt, etc. These are all "cues" that businesses pick up on that you are serious about taking legal action, and will likely get you the response you desire.

This is the only thing that will get you any response these days.

I'm going thru a legal headache right now with the mortgage lender that sold my loan to Wells Fargo. They are claiming (some 9 months later) that we still owe them the December payment---which we don't; but to make a long story short, I told the rep that all communication with them will be done ONLY in writing; no phone calls. I want everything they claim and say to be documented when I take them to court. This will show the judge their incompetence.
