Sid, it's time to ask me how much I want for a Scott or Fisher tube integrated/receiver.
Bruce, ain't it nice? I just put a matched set of Amperex Bugle Boy 6DJ8 in the Melos in the cave. Can you say Mark Knopfler? I wish I had a Doobie, but the rum and MHL will suffice.
Cheers,
Rooster

I just got an MFSL of Supertramp-Crime of the Century. It still rocks.
Man, I still recall the first time I heard this lp in '75 with a wall of JBLs about 20 feet in front of me driven by a row of Phase Linears.
When the bass kicked in it rumbled an ashtray off the table between the chairs my best friend and I occupied.
I just love the good '70s progressive stuff!!!!

You save up $200, and then give me a buzz, ok?
What I'm trying to say, it isn't time to put those Def Tech's in the mix (with those nasty caps and resistors in the xover), it's time to put some tubes on the back end.
Here is 1 of 4 racks, and I won't even mention the storage unit I pay $60/month for.
Cheers,
Rooster

Dennis,
2270 broham, with a 7T preamp on top.
Bruce,
Hey, man boobs are making a comeback, what can I say. No, this 400 is sold, the lucky buyer is bringing over my mortgage payment and taking it home. Got a few others though, 400, 500, 800, even a 600 in there somewhere.
Cheers,
Rooster

Wrapped up the "evening's" festivites with back-to-back-to... Bowie.
Hunky Dory, Ziggy, Young Americans, and Station to Station blasting until 02:00... Great night and only paying a minor price today... Love it when that happens...

I think MX would be more likely to start at the top. With EL-34's. That is if he can find a pair of speakers with at least 150db efficiency. Those EL-84's would only be a tease. :D
