In the spirit of WELCOME TO THE DOLLHOUSE, check out the new GHOST WORLD DVD. Great "suburban angst" story (Steve Buscemi is a scream), and Thora Birch is a little goth hottie! Great flick!

You guys are a tough room alright.

It's a funny/sad story of teen angst: couple of chicks out of high school contemplating their futures, etc. Negotiating that weird "ghost world" of post high school suburban oddness. (But not a kid's movie.)

The two girls in it are hotties. Thora Birch, man!

Good flick.

It was kind of cool. It is the sort of movie that makes you wanta pick up a video camera and make a short film.:)

I saw just the begining of it, I'll probably rent it to check it out. My roomate is Indian, so we were laughing pretty hard about the aweful Indian rock music in the begining, har har!

It's pretty funny. The DVD has a special feature of the whole uncut opening scene (that dance scene from some horrible foreign 50s movie I think).

Yea, I saw it in the theater here in Austin, decent flick. Worth buying? Maybe.

I'm not a big fan of teen-midlife-crisis movies though ;)

You're not a fan of teen crisis and midlife crisis films, or you're just not a fan of teen-midlife-crisis films, where the protagonists die at 30. :D

I'm not a big fan of the "I'm in high school and need to get laid or I'll just DIE" or "Waah waah I graduated from HS and I don't know what to do with my life, so I'll just make a depressing movie out of it with no point"

Two that come to mind: American Pie, American Pie 2 ;)

Teen movies today are pretty damn lame! Nothing like the Cusack films of old.

Anyone planning on seeing that "40 days and 40 nights" movie. Now THAT'S an unrealistic piece of crap! No one I know has the chance to get layed every night in 40 days by different girls....unless of course they wear a basketball jersey for a living (wilt, wilt?)
