I'm not sure what these are. I'm thinking Monitor 12's?

they are being sold locally. and i'm interested in em.

anyone shed some light on them.

thanks, al

P.S. the base is not part of the speaker. it's a stand that was made as a shrine to them. :D

Those are RTA 11T's with a SL2000 tweeter, 2 mid drivers and 2 PR's. Used Bluebook looks like $240.00 a pair. Those bases look terrible.

Thanks Jesse!

agreed.. the stands/bases look terrible. why on earth would someone do that?

Al, this picture is of the Monitor 12s. Totally different animal.

L&C

yeah. totally different.

the back of the speakers says Monitor series.. and like Jesse mentioned.. he says they are RTA 11t's. was the RTA 11t a monitor series model?

F1Nut is absolutely correct; the speakers above are RTA 11T, not part of the Monitor line. Polk made things quite confusing with their nomenclature.

Actual Monitor 11s look like this (basically floor-standing Monitor 10s in a slightly bigger cabinet):

Vintage Polk's aren't quite known for their accuracy in the sticker department. I think this is the second pair of RTA11T's that has had this issue.

The RTA11T is an average speaker, nothing groundbreaking. If you can pick 'em up cheap, buy them.
