Keith Richards?

That's who Depp's character was based off of, actually. :)

Chinese pirates ! Now that's something we haven't seen in a while.

I was always thinking that was an untapped genre. Lots of intrigue, storylines, cool ships from the Asian counterparts. :)

If he can find the time in his busy schedule of smoking pot and talkin trash about America in his true home of France.

Why does so much good music and film come from people with warped senses of reality?

They often have no sense of identity.

Ive wondered that too. Maybe cause they dont have a clue of what the real world is actually like so they turn into liberals!

Hey let's face it, creative people think differently...that why the great artists, actors, authors and musicians are almost always lefties. If it weren't for the way lefties think and operate we wouldn't have 90 percent of the films we watch and the music we listen to. I for one could not see Charleton Heston or Ted Danson as Capt. Jack Sparrow.

At least he had the balls to leave and "only" trashes the US when reporters ask him. On the scale of the hollywood slimeballs, he's nowhere near the bottom. But yes, he needs a serious reality check (or we do)

Very good actor.

Yep, he's one of the best and bravest actors working today, by bravest I mean the roles he has always chosen. But he is a bit of a freak...no doubt. Remember the Winona tatoos and hotel room thrashings when he and Kate Moss used to have fights. He started out as a rock guitarist...still has some of that mentality.

And Chow Yun Fat kicks ass...hope it has a great sequel. And if Keith Richards has to play one of the skeleton "damned" pirates they will save a bundle on cgi and make-up!

My neighbor used to live next to Depp and Ryder when they were together. He's told me some stories.

I never let the real-life personality of a actor/actress affect my opinion of their on screen performance.

I'm very jealous of your neighbor...getting to see Winona in person on a regular basis...man oh man.
