Polk 10's

Hey people,

I have 2 10 inch polk momos. I dont know the number i think is 2104, i forget. Anyways. I can get a polk carbon series 500.1 mono amp, and i was wondering if that is a good amp to run them on. I am also have momo 6x4, 6.5 and 6x9 and i wanted to put the 4 channel polk carbon series 400.1. Now the 500.1 amp I can get on sale 4 $219.00 and the 4 channel is the normal $499.99. Is this a good set up, i really want it to hit hard and make some noise so let me know if there is something better i can do. If there is anyother information you need on what i have i will be willing to let you know.

Where do you have the 4x6's, 6.5's, and 6x9's? That seems like one too many pairs of speakers.

Yes, the 500.1 is the perfect amp for those subs. They are 4ohm, correct? If they're DVC's, then it is not the perfect amp.

i didnt think gm put 6x9s in trucks, but i could be wrong...

If it's an S10, then you have 4x6's in the dash and 6.5 inch in the doors. Unless you have enclosed 6x9's, I don't see where they could go.

I say get the 500.1 for the 2104's. Then get these MM6 components (http://www.cardomain.com/item/POLMM6) and power them with the 300.2

Forget about the 4x6 and 6x9s IMO.

My S10 is an extended cab and the rear fits 4x10s and i know a friend who says he can fit 6x9 in there place they are just going to have to cut a little bit bigger of a hole to get it to fit.

That would be pointless. In a cab that small especially with a sub in the rear, you wouldnt even be able to hear the 6x9s. Those speakers are only there to give the pathetic OEM system some bass and depth.

Trust us on this. Get a good set of components for the front and a good 10 or 12" sub and youll be set.
