box help

iam trying to fabricate a box/center counsil
i only have 9 inches from seat to seat and want to mount my 8" momo subs on the bottom its in a 1993 dodge dakota i know the dimetions i have to work with but its not working cause the center i come up with is 7.5 and the sub is 8 plz help if u can

my guess is that you're getting 7.5 because you're using wood for the console... if you use fiberglass you should be able to get within the limits...

Isn't 7.5 enough? An 8" woofer would only need 7.25" of a cut-out diameter. Does that address the problem your talking about?
