sub hookup for LSi25

Couple questions on using sub in/out on LSi25

My receiver has only one sub out (filtered) and I want to use this to connect to the LFE (unfiltered) inputs on the LSi25s.

Question: 1. Should I use the Y to split the receiver sub out and send it to both LSi25 sub LFE inputs, or go from receiver sub out to one LFE input then connect line level out from one LSi25 to the LFE input of second LSi25.

Question 2: Is the line level out from LSi25 is the output for either line level input or LFE input?

(I know I have to remove the jumper strips when using LFE option)

if you want to hook if up that way then heres how to do it....go LFE out to one LSi25 in, the go from the out on one Lsi25 to the other Lsi25 in, then go out to a y splitter and into the L&R inputs on your sub, of no y splitter and just use the LFE in.

i know its kind of confusing but the red and white rca conncectors arent both inputs on the lsi25. since there are 2 lsi25's theres no need to send them both a stereo signal. so one is an input and another is an output so that you can wire them both without having to add y splitters. you dont need to split your LFE signal to each speaker, you just need alot of subwoofer wire. i think you are going to find that you like them hooked up better via speaker wire anyway. i tried this way with rti100's and didn't like it, especially for movies. the powered woofers don't handle the bass as well as a dedicated sub will so its better to just cross them over and let the sub handle the bass.


and no you don't have to remove the jumper strips. if you do you are turning off the mid woofers or tweeters based on which post you have your speaker wire plugged into. you have to remove the jumpers when you biamp. you aren't biamping, so leave the jumpers there of stick a piece of speaker wire in there instead if thats what you like.

Actually I think you do need to remove the binding jumpers if running line level in..........Not sure why but ? the mid signal is passed on from the line level in once xover is set.........Might want to check up on that one.....
