View Full Version : SL2000 Vs RD0194-1 observations?

Last week I replaced the SL2000 tweeters in my Monitor 10Bís with the RD0194-1 silk replacement tweeters from Polk. I have to say the replacement tweeters sound considerably better. To me they sound smoother and clearer. Considering the price of $96.00 (for 2) delivered, I would recommend considering these if you interested in improving the sound of a Polk speaker that uses the SL2000.
I was wondering what other peoples observations have been when they replaced the SL2000 with the RD0194-1?

I replaced all 4 in my sda 1's but i never listened to the old ones that much to tell a differece..(bought the sda's and changed them within a month) maybe not so bright as the sl2000's.. i know they sound good.. sorry i cant add much more.. I also changed all my mid drivers for the salke of trying all new drivers in a old speaker, drivers sound the same... now that they are broke in..

They are much smoother than the originals. I've been an avid listener for many years. The first 30 seconds of listening to the new replacements converted me. The next day I ordered 20 replacements to do my SDA-SRS, 1.2's and 1C's. No contest.
