I've been reading about mods to turn the Jolida 302 in to a triode mode machine. Cut wire going to pin 4 and add a 2 watt 100 ohm resistor between pins 3 and 4 of each tube.

Simple and a lot of people say it is a good mod. On the other hand I read an article which says you can do this but you must also make other mods to make it work properly which includes a bunch of circuitry and use of different tubes.

I'm going to give the simple mod a try. Worst case I could always switch it back.

Good luck, hope it works out. :)

I had unhooked the Dynaco for about a month while I went on a movie kick. I plugged her in a couple of days ago and hooked up the SDA2's and man my memory is short cause I forgot how much better music is with that combo.

Even though it sounds great as is, I really need to rework the Dynaco.

I'm a little confused. There is triode mode, then there is class A, then there is SET... Then there is true triode mode vs push-pull triode mode.
