anyone going to watch the Superbowl?
Anyone having a party with people over to your place? Gonna show off the HT rig when people are there?
I'll watch it on and off. The stupid local FOX bone heads here aren't HDTV capable. Sucks big time. So i'm not that interested in watching it.

The question is, who ISN'T watching it. HD? Who cares. I'd watch it on an 8" B&W with rabbit ears and foil if that's all that was available.
Cheers,
Russ
Oh, and BTW, brown is the new black. Not pink.

My wife just went to pick up the last bit of food for the game. I think that my kids looked forward to the junk feast more than they ever did the game.
The oldest boys still talk about how much fun they had eatin' nonstop for 4 hours!
Oh yeah, and the commercials!

I'll be doing a school project, writing my own java source code, I'll have to pass, I was never much of a sportsfan anyways.

excuse me. but till you watch sports in HD, everything else is inferior. HD rules!
if HD was a food item. i'd slather it all over my body and run around licking myself :p

Well, for the purist, hell I could listen to the game on an AM mono tube rig, how's that?
You and slathering in the same sentence (paragraph, no UNIVERSE), no thanks. Russman OUT.

Yep, party at a family friends house. They have a HDTV so it is a little bit of a downer. It is just as well, as my HT rig isn't really finished yet.
Who cares, though. Pats are in and tehre will be a lot of great food:D  :p :)

Fortunatly Fox has opened up the HD East feed on Direct TV. I can't get local Fox OTA and if they did not port it I would have been majorly PISSED OFF. I hope they leave the feed on so I can watch Nascar in HD and if not screw Fox.

I probably would watch it if it didnt have 45 minutes of commercials for every 10 minutes of actual football!!!

Yeah, on the plant tour, I couldn't believe that they chopped tomatoes not more than 20 feet from where they soldered circuit boards.

Here here. The guy's 60-some years old and still sounds great. I'd much rather listen to that than a bunch of criminals talking about shootin' up the 'hood.
30 years ago, the Beatles were the offensive ones.

It was a little longer than 30 yrs ago. but your point is well taken.
yeah in their day the Beatles offended lots of people. Today it's tough to find a single person who doens't still love the Beatles.

Did not "watch" Paul, but heard him... Voice sounded remarkably the same 30+ years later...
As for the Beatles... John was the runaway offender... Paul was a very, very distant second... Ringo only qualifies for honorable mention and George seldom spoke...

UGH! Super Bowl Sunday!
The game sucked! Worst "Championship Level" football I have ever watched! The only reason the game was so close is that both sides were playing equally as bad. Dropped passes, missed coverages and way too many turnovers. Neither team showed up to win yesterday.
As far as the party went, eh, it was OK. Was at a relative's house who had a bunch of people over. Most of them sat there stuffing thier faces with food and being just plain ignorant because it wasn't ready the very second the game started. Freaking lame. On top of that, I got stuck cooking because my wife's aunt, who was supposed to be cooking, decided to jump in her car and run over to her friend's house for 45 minutes and LEFT FOOD ON THE GRILL!
Besides that, alot of people there smoked an they didn't want smokers in the house so they put a bunch of benches outside. They put a fire-pit up and started a fire so the smokers wouldn't freeze thier pitoots off but they threw a pile of newspapers, some small sticks a log about 14 inches long and at least 6 inches round, lit newspaper and walked away.Needless to say, someone made the comment that "...that fire needs to be kept going..." and since everyone else scattered, I got to take care of it.
The only good thing was that the beer coolers were outside and I put back about 8 out of a 12 pack of Yuengling Light, sitting out there by myself tending fires. I also ate about 5 hamburgers, two hotdogs and 2 keilbasa sammiches before food ever got into the house. Figured it was small consolation so that the "hosts" of the party could sit down and watch TV while thier "guest" did all the work for them.
Then they will still tell my wife that they really don't like me or they find me annoying or they think I'm rude and so on and so forth.

Nobody understands you, eh? So it's just not us... ;)
It was a sloppy game to be sure...
Brady looked numb during warm-ups and played that way early... The announcers finally mentioned his Grandmother had passed on this past week explaining that.
McNabb just played numb most of the game... The word "choke" occurred to me frequently.
