I compared to my brothers SVS12, and seems to be more cleaner and deeper, but his sounded pretty good for the money, so I guess I got a pretty good deal on the 7 month old Paradigm for $520 total. Thanks

I must say SVS seems to be the value leader.

Man I'm sorry...

but it will be hard to be 'deeper' than a SVS, much less you know it just by listening with your own ears...

As for how clean one can be, it all depends on placement and calibration...

I have my SVS set up now where I can barely tell it is on, and I've also had it to where the neighbors knew it was on, and its at the same volume...

All about the setup...

Also note, some SVS box subs dont use bracing, so the cabinet may resonate and present a 'boom', where the cylinders don't require any bracing and barely resonate

i dident know that. my sub is braced to the max dubble thick mdfb 2x6 fraim with a 2x4 sub fraim 2x4 between every sub. it is atached to the floor with masanery screws and construction aheasave.

Paradigm sub cabinets or braced to prevent resonating.
