ah, such thrilling and inspiring content one finds on this board! yes, they're expensive, but they're also very durable, decently underrated, and very clean. perhaps not the best buy around, but a good first offering nonetheless.

Short and sweet. They are a lot, but worth it I'm sure.

Yes they are expensive but comparable to other amps in their league.
Take the 400.4. Its $500 or so. It puts out well over 75x4 and has a great x-over that goes all the way up to 5.5K Hz. A comparable amp with those specs and features would be the JL Audio 300/4 which retails for about $475.
So they do cost more, but you get what you pay for. An amp that is every bit as good as its higher end counterparts.

No. Amps all sound the same. I like MTX amps better cause they are built to the point of almost being indestructible. The Polk amps are also very well built. The Polk amps also have awesome and very flexible x-over that the MTX do NOT have.
You get what you pay for. If you can afford them and want the badass x-overs, get the Polks. If you want just a bare bones power source, go MTX.
