The momo subs are really good once they get broke in. They surprise the heck out of me. I have two momo eights i tell ya they hit deep and clean like ten inch subs the sq is amazing on these subs. The only thing is most people don't own polk stuff in there cars and this is really good stuff at a affordable price I have a alpine mono amp on these pushing 350x1. I think this is the prefect amp for these subs 175 watts per sub 25 watts under this 200 watt rated sub sounds awesome to me.

Is that the Alpine V Power amp or the V12?

If its the V12 then Im jealous.

If its the V Power then that little thing is putting out a good bit over 400 watts. Its a spunky little amp considering its size and $175 price tag!

I love the Polk subs. You should go to a Tweeter and demo them next to some Alpine, MB Quart and JL Audio. They are as good as anything in there.

My MM6 sounded kind of crappy when I first got them and I could wait to upgrade but after about a month of use, they have broken in nicely and have become the best speakers Ive ever owned and my plans for upgrading have been pushed back.

hello, my name is cody stewart and i am hopelessly addicted to car audio:D

I know how you feel. Ive not had my amps a year yet and Im already looking for my next models!

If the Signature series comes out about $500 I will probably have a set of those one day. If theyre more Ill probably wind up with a set of MB Quart Premiums. I doubt Ill go much more than that tho.

Ive been hanging around the home audio side lately and have caught the HA bug so now Ive got to set aside money for that new addiction! :D

I saw that one coming....so much for the wife paying for that...

Well she has a friend that lives in Hawai and wants her to come. All she would have to do is buy the plane ticket. $500. Free room and board.

So there went the $500 I thought I was going to get to spend on some HT gear.

BUT, you think Im gonna let a little setback like no money slow me down? Hell no!

I will have a home theater setup, AND have my truck system ready to compete in 2 months.....Im just not sure how. :(

You disappoint me. I thought you were a loyal fan. The SR6500 will definately be more than $500, but well worth it.

Has nothing to do with loyalty my man but rather finances. My credit is SCREWED so I have to buy everything in cash and $800 is a lot of money for my broke ass.

Hell it took me 4 months to save up the $170 for my MM6 and 3 months to save the $100 Im about to have to go buy my MM2104 within a week (hopefully).

And about loyalty, Im going with a MM2104 even tho the box required is way too big for the area Ive got and its gonna be a beeyotch to figure out how to make it fit! I couldve easily gone with an IDQ which wouldve fit very nicely but no! I chose to support the home team.

Also, Im about to dump $900 in Polk Audio home speakers within the next year (but as the missus enjoys watching movies too so she will be donating some funds for these).

So :p.

Question my loyalty? Hmph!

:D

Great! Now I feel guilty. Now I HAVE to buy them!

I don't want you to feel I'm forcing you to get them. You are more than welcome to test the competitors (I know here you live and I've seen where you sleep. I swear your mother will cry when she sees what I've done to you). J/K (maybe not):D

Well, I was thinking, by the time I get enough cash together for a speaker upgrade, these will likely be on end of year clearance at SoundDomain and may be near $500 so Ill be set!!

LOL! Yeah I guess I might as well been holding a teddy bear. I need to find some imposing looking pictures. That way nobody will argue with me and just accept my genius! :D

Lets see, Ive got this one which is about 15 years old back when I was a headbanger.

let's see... in the spirit of math, let's define imposing = twice the diameter of my torso... then your arms, my friend, are quite imposing...

now the hair... i'm glad it was a decade.5 back, that's all i have to say about that...

and i think josh is scared now :)

Dude! Thats pretty effin cool!

Im automatically a fan of any band that has double bass AND guitar solos!

Good crunchy riffs too.

This (http://www.annihilatormetal.com/audio/WeaponX.mp3) is some of the stuff I like.

VERY fast but very technical and requiring a great deal of skill to play.

Starts out slow and then hauls ass! Good fightin' music! Makes ya feel 10' tall and bulletproof!

Macleod i have the alpine v-power amp on them, they have the mono alpine v-12 on sale at crutchfield for 199.00. I thought about getting it. Althought the v-power sounds good for the money.

Dude! The V12 is about 100 times more amp than the V Power. Much cleaner, much better build quality, more features, and most importantly, more power!

Dude that alpine 9833 headunit is a power headunit. I could not believe it until i installed it. Man its almost as loud as a 4 channel amp.

I though both of them came wrapped in plastic free from fingerprints and debris. Polk amps do, too. They're all pretty clean.

One thing i have noticed about the momo subs is the break in time. I have had these subs for a little over a month and man do they pound hard now. I think these sub sound as good as the jl audio's and better than most stuff out here. Just surprises me how cheap they are for such good quality.

MacLeod

Thats what Polk is famous for bro. They aint the best stuff in the world but for the money you cant touch em! ;)
