This is only for music...

Curiosity got the best of me...

This DIY sub uses 4 6.5" woofers, and a 10" PR...

First let me say, this subwoofer has thoroughly impressed me, and with the success of my other projects, this one isnt any real exception - I can't take full credit for anything, our good friend Russ Gates has helped me with all of them!

Anyways... This subwoofer hangs right in there with the SVS...

A couple things I would change though...

12" PR
200 or more watt amp...

It gives out way to early, so I have to turn it down...

However, it still keeps up with the SVS in output pretty well...and has chest pounding bass...

The bass even sounds a bit more accurate, with a bit more texture...

Very cool...

PS - The SVS is not plugged up on top, it is there to be out of the way...

hmm....

40-50 bucks for drivers... (buy out 6.5")

100 bucks for amp, free wood, 3 dollar for spray paint, 5 dollars for grill cloth, 3 bucks for quick disconnects and 2-3 bucks for wire...

Not to much....

Only complaint with this sub is the 6.5" drivers have a 'rattle' at higher volumes, they arnt bottoming, they just rattle...
