View Full Version : New Center Channel...
Def Tech C/L/R 1000
1" Vifa Textile Dome
(Only speaker I own that is shielded) (OEM)
21.5" wide x 8" tall x 12" deep
Monsterous center channel...
Arrived in pretty good condition - has a rear corner knick, and a slight tears in the cloth, I sewed the big one up, and put on a new logo...
The grill frame seems to be cracked in 2 places??? Dunno if that is how it was or what??
Either way, I'm not gonna complain for 90 shipped...
Thanks Dan!
And cleaned it up a bit....
woooooooooofer
Dosnt seem to be near as well built as my BP10B woofer...glad I got the BP10B instead of the BP10 now..
Tweeter...
I gotta love shielded drivers, makes the mags look so much bigger...lol
Internal Picture...
I'm to lazy to take out the crossover, but you can see it still, so w/e -- uses weally big foam pads.....

well, Sid
if you ever come over to my house, I would do two things:
1. Hide ALL tools, including scissor.
2. Hire Airport TSA guys to frisk and body-search you before stepping in.
other than that, cool pics!
btw, aren't you supposed to do your homeworks during school week? :)
Homework...
ouch...I knew I was forgetting something...
Hehe, I still am looking pics of the LSi series, no one will take them apart!

I thought ezc cracked one LSiC before? cross-over thread somewhere?
and a 9 too, by someone else...
You had a chance to see those when you went to HQ a couple years ago.
Ah I know...
I just want pictures, I am collecting pictures of various brands/models/price ranges of speakers, (why? I dunno why)....
Just thought it would be fun...
Hehe...
I'm not really interested in the LSiC as I am the 9, 15, 25...etc

I just got some 7`s yesterday...
I`d get the tools out and gut her like a fish for ya little brother,
but something tells me she`d never be the same when I was done...:D
don`t the drivers get torqued to some in/lb spec ?

I'm very happy to see it go to someone who will use it. I had no use for it here .
Your very welcome Sid and thanks for a smooth transaction.
Dan
Drivers get put in so that there is no air leaks, I tighten all of my drivers, new or old speakers when I get them, and then I retighten them every 6-7 months or so...nice habit, as they do rattle out..

thanks for the tip...
maybe I should check some of the speaks around here for tightness..!!
the RT series with baffles dosnt even use screws...
The tweeter pops in, and the driver just sets in there, 'suctioned' in somehow...kinda neat..

Vr3, you are rigth that is big, you'd have to have quite the room on the tv lip or under to lay that.
Only thing I didn't like is that with the grill off you can see the xover from the ports. not a big deal but if you like clean....
I always get nervous taking my speakers apart to check under the hood!
You cant really see it when in place, since its not in direct light...
Yeah, I really don't have a use for it...
But 90 shipped for a 500 dollar center? no brainer here...
I mean hell...
It has a 50 dollar shielded VIFA woofer, 2 of them...
And a 30-40 dollar shielded textile VIFA tweeter...
The cabinet and crossover is carry on as far as I'm concerned...the drivers intrigued me...
this thing makes a freakin awesome bookshelf...infact...its performance is right there with, maybe a lil less of the beemer...
I am running them with the beemer, and its hard to tell a difference...
