The black boxes are the passive crossovers. You must install the passive crossovers for the speakers to function properly. You will risk damaging the speakers if the crossovers are not installed. The wiring diagram is located in your owners manual.

?????? The ZN 5.0 are rca's and wont' connect to your speakers or crossover anyway. They go from your Head Unit to your amp. Second, the wires that polk sends with their speakers are just fine. You will have 0 problems with them.

Ya know, I dont think I got any wire with my MM6's either. I cant really remember. I already had 14 AWG already ran so it may still be in the box.

That is 16 AWG tho that comes with the MMC690's.

Streetwires ZN3's are one of my future upgrades. Right now Im using Monster Standard cable. Cheap as hell. 20' for $15!! Sheilded and seems to work well.

hmm... maybe the dude I bought them from just threw them in since he was selling the speakers. But they were nicely bundled as if from the factory... I know my dB650's didn't have wire, but my MM6's definitely did.

yeah, my mm6's sure did, too. it was hard to split down the middle, though.
