another r15 q- rubber feet?

I notice that Polk sends four stick-on rubber feet with the R15's (for each speaker). Do you recommend that I use these? My R15's are sitting on a flat, hard surface (my work desk). I don't really turn them up loud enough for them to rattle or anything, but I was just wondering if you guys thought it would be beneficial to use the feet. Thanks!

I'd use them. If anything, you'll be less likely to scruff up the bottoms on the 15's.

Good thought. I stuck 'em on. I was afraid they might pull the finish off the wood if they were to come off, but it seems that the glue is not that sticky anyway.

Oh no, its very sticky.. like contact cement once applied and it will pull the finish off, But only if you remove the feet... they usually dont come off by them selves...

Just put them under it, dont put the sticky on it...

Stuff rips the finish right off...

There's no way to put them under it without sticking them to it... guess I could've stuck a square of paper over the sticky part or something.

Oh well.... too late now!

My fear is if they get pulled off when I'm moving the speakers some time, but I'll just try to be careful :)

I've had them on a pair of my RT25i for more than 2 years, moved them 3 times. They have not shown the slightest sign of coming loose.

I wouldn't worry about them for the time being.

If you ever decide to take them off, carefully use a flat razor blade to remove them and use a mild solvent and/or friction to remove the rest of the adhesive. It will probably leave a dull spot, but its the bottom, not really noticable.

Eh, hope I didn't give you bad advice. Don't worry about them ever coming off, though. I had my 15's for over a year with the rubber feet on and they never came close to getting loose.

I would have used Rubber bands...

does the same thing pretty much and dosnt eff with the finish...

Polk should really find an alternative to that...

Yes...

But if I'm not mistaken, these rubber feet are included with ALL of their bookshelfs, from bottom to top (LSi, RTi, Monitor, etc)...

Imagine putting those feet on the LSi and ripping off the painted finish...
