Here I am working on imaging my Tivo, wife cooking dinner, my 6 and 2 year old watching a movie, then all of a sudden I thought we were watching a Batman movie..bamm, splat, kaboom. I come into the family room to horror, my lovely kids decided to start wrestling around and knock over one of my RT400's. Add to that a bonus, my f/x500 was sitting on top of it at the time. I must admit I kept my cool because I couldn't decide which thing to be mad about, the broken grill on the RT400, the dings in the f/x500 or the hole in the wall they landed against. Luckily nothing too major, those Polks sure can take a lickin'. What I need to know is where I might be able to find a grill for the RT400. The pegs are the only thing broke and I can glue those back on but I would like to replace the grill. Lesson learned from this, keep the surrounds mounted on the wall and find some carpet spikes for the towers.

Just be glad the speakers didn't come crashing down on the kids and crack some heads open. That could've been a very serious situation.

very true, I shouldn't have left the surrounds on top of the RT's..

Tie them up, flat on their backs on the basement floor. Fashion a rig to slowly drip ice cold water on their foreheads for 2hrs.

They'll never knock shit over again, I promise.

Cheers,

Russ,
Chinese water torture eh? LOL

Masanz1,
You need the cloth right? Do a search on the speaker forum. There was a discussion about this before and you can purchase them online.

The RT400's were set up as rear surrounds, I was messing around with speaker placement is why they were on top. I have rt600i up front

Hello,
I'm sorry about the accident, glad no one was hurt. I checked in our inventory and we don't have any more of the RT400 grilles, unfortunately. Do you believe the grille frame could be recovered if you had some cloth?
