I THINK IT IS ABOUT TIME POLK AUDIO STARTED MAKING MONITORS, HUs, AND VIDEO FOR THE CAR. I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE A COMPLETE POLK SYSTEM IN MY CAR. LETS GET IT GOING AND PETITION!

I'm of the personal opinion that (with the exception of keeping the kids entertained on long trips) mobile video is a waste of space... it always cracks me up to see guys who drop 2 grand into screens and dvd players to mount on all their headrests and visors and anywhere else they can get one put, yet their system still sounds like absoulute CRAP!!!


that and who realy wants to watch a movie or play a game on a 7" screen anyway??? rather than drop 700 into a couple nice screens i'd rather pick up a nice 30" HiDef widescreen for my room and play games there...

Big negative here too.

Amps, ok. Monitors and head units, no.

Polk makes the best speakers on the market dollar for dollar. Their amps are top notch as well. Leave it there. When a company tries to make everything, it means that some of their stuff is going to be h-hum and when that happens, they lose a lot of respect from the consumer (i.e. Rockford Fosgate). I like Polk being known as "Speaker Specialists" not "speaker, amp, head unit, EQ, monitor, dvd player specialist".

In my opinion, Alpine is the only company that makes everything well, but then thats all they do. No home audio or boom boxes, just car audio.

Why stop at displays? Think outside the box. Polk should start making cars! Just think of the strategic business synergy when they can outfit all of their own cars with their own speakers, amps, and displays.

Considering 90+% of the kids today honestly care more about how much you can hear outside the car than how good it sounds inside the car. Car audio honestly needs to go full circle again and get people back into the real reason of audio components... FOR QUALITY SOUND!

Toxis- Thanks for not including all kids in that statement. I like my music loud, but with the windows up you can hardly hear a peep of it outside. My two 10" subs are there for bass reinforcement, not for beating the crap out of my kidneys. And the db570's all around (4) do nicely for SQ :D

Besides- how often do you hear some punk kid rolling down the street pounding out "Life's Been Good" by Joe Walsh, or "In the Cage" by Genesis. :D

Then again, I guess I'm not technically a kid anymore.

Polk Tuxedo's... for the people who even on their wedding day, can't seem to get their speakers off their mind.

Polk TV dinners, Mattresses and Air Ionizers... for all of us who eat, sleep and breathe Polk.

Polk Heated Toilet Seat Covers... basically just because SOMEONE needs to make one. :p
