Well it's about time... fingerprint password access???

How many passwords do you have to keep up with? Between work and home its got to be an easy what 20 to 30? I can't keep up with them all and have to write them down.

This looks pretty cool. Anybody know if it works well? I didn't think this technology was this affordable. I actually thought about this idea a while back or a retina scan (not sure if that is just a movie thingy). If this gadget works it is sure to be a best seller just for the convenience.

I agree........but I don't think I'd want to have that type of external component built into the mix. Especially with a laptop, considering that for me that would be just one more thing that i have to tote with me.

I've seen some laptops that have it built into the body of them now, and then I was at Fry's Electronics yesterday and saw a few of the Microsoft keyboards that have it integrated to the left of the keys, but that was only on the wired keyboards.

As soon as they get it put onto a wireless keyboard/mouse setup I'll look at buying that setup. (for my desktop, not my laptop)

Our traders have been using them for quite some time, haven't heard a complaint yet.

Microsoft sells one as well. Its a little cheaper too, maybe.

I've used one at work to log onto computers. Its pretty handy. The pharmacist uses it to 'sign off' on a completed prescription. Good for records and all that jazz.

Man the possibilities with this type of device are almost endless. Think about it.. no more PINs or keys even. Imagine never having to look for your damn keys again (Brett are you reading this:D ).

Totally cool technology. Of course the downside is some hacker is going to figure out a way to bypass this ala James Bond style.

I just can't wait for this to develop more. The possible business opportunities are endless if the technology is indeed secure. Nowadays, just about everybody needs keys, passwords, PINs, etc.

Call me crazy, but I'd rather that Cars still required a Key instead of my fingerprint. Whatever thief wants my car can have my keys, NOT my finger hacked off so he can go freewheeling......

I change my prints, physically, every year or so.

Painful, but affective for staying 'in front' of Johnny Law.

Only changed my retinas once so far.

We(RS) just started carring this thing about 2-3 weeks ago, and I have yet to sell one, or even hear anything about it, good or bad. Definatly a neat idea though...

I've got the Micro$oft one and use it at home...I like it...I think it's also a bit slimmer than the RS one as well, think I paid 50 bucks for it...

I got it mainly for my weife, but find myself liking it as well...
