Where are you located? It might be just as easy to get them and sell them to someone on the forum that is close to you. There are always people looking for that setup, so you could probably make a little money and help out a fellow polkie if you want.

I think it would still be a good deal if the speakers are in decent condition. You could probably get everything bought and shipped for under $400(maybe close to $300). The CS400 has been selling for $250-$300 recently and the RT800's usually go for over $200, so you would still be saving a little dough and have a great front sound stage for a home theater.

Are you driving to N.C.? Or flying? Man the shipping should not kill the deal, even with the shipping added into the mix it's still a steal. I say go for it, just see if he can pack them well to stand the cross country trip.

The RT series would be an upgrade from the R series, especially the 800's and 400.

If you lived closer, I'd consider the setup myself.

i am flying. if i had gotten this deal a few days ago i wont hesitate at all. van lines took all my stuff 2 days ago i couldve packed them into the truck. Anybody has a ball park estimate on how much the shipping will be? i have no clue how big these speakers are.
