Buzzing

My speakers are buzzing. It's coming from the tweeter and the woofer, the sound from the tweeter is obviously hiher then from the woofer but both are buzzing. I'm not sure what it could be, I've never noticed a buzzing before. It could be the shitty ratshack and stock dvd player cables am currently using, it could be the dirty power in my house, or it could be something wrong with the preamp and amp. What do i need to fix this crap? It's really annoying, especially when watching a DVD because its really noticeable.

Mine started doing the same thing because of the Monster sub cable.
I unplugged it and the problem went away.
So I got a new cable...Same problem.
I am not happy with the Q.C. @ Monster.
I changed it out with an old free cable and the speaker is sounding stronger than ever.
I am now in the market for some good cables to replace all my monsters. :mad:

Hopefully that'll fix your issues...but if it's just not surfacing...I doubt it's the cables...

i had an onkyo 8211 before and there were buzzing everytime io turn it on but i changed to a NAD C320BEE and there are no more buzzing on anything.

i guess its the quality of the amp but i dunno im new to stereo

ok my buzz is still around.....and i found out its the tv.....whenever i put the tv into the circuit, or even plug it into the same outlet, i get a nasty buzz....

i have moved my stereo to a different wall and the tv is plugged into a different outlet as the amp and preamp. however when i plug my dvd player into my tv via the composite video out, my buzz returns. BTW, i have a POS RCA tv. I would love to burn it but i need a tv. so what the hell, how do i get rid of the damn buzz? and what is causing the damn buzz?

Perhaps you have dirty power and need a power conditioner.
Or perhaps your composit video cables are bad.
Or it could just be the POS RCA.;)

Do you have cable TV? It can introduce some nasty ground loop into your system- you can get a inline isolator for that, it just screws onto the cable before it goes to the TV.

I do have cable TV, except the cable line isn't hooked up to my TV. I moved my system and haven't plugged it in yet. I have digital cable, which is from an optic line, can you still get a groud loop from that?

And I think it's the power problem. A power conditioner is next on my list of things to buy. What exactly do they do? I'mg etting a $175 best buy gift card from my dad and there's one at best buy for $199, this is the one I was thinking about buying, as I can't afford an expensive tripplite or monster one, plus I hate monster. Did anyone fix their buzz with a power conditioner?

I did not have a buz but my conditioner did seem to make an improvement in my system.
It may have just gave me piece of mind but I am glad I bought it.
I bought a Panamax.

My speakers pop when I turn my blacklight and fan on and off. Would a power conditioner solve that?

I bet it would. I never had any popping before so I do not know but I think that is part of what the conditioner does, it isolates each powered item from the others.

I have a line conditoner and doesn't stop the buzzing (apc line-r 1250)

All the tv's in the house buzz (even the one plugged into this device), my linksys router and my subwoofer (which is also plugged into this device). I don't think it is a groud loop because I tried unplugging the cable tv coax line from the outside line and still buzzing.

Was looking at buying a monster hts 3600 or 5100 off ebay...

Blacklight? A move away from the 70's might help. :D

I like my blacklight. And the AMC and Carver gear is in the living room now ( still buzzing) so I'm going to wait until tomorrow when I get my Musical Fidelity gear and see if that buzzes too. IF it does then I guess I need to invest in a power conditioner or a ground loop isolator or both.

it could be anything on the same circuit breaker as your gear. I had a buzz show up one day when I had my old Arcam A85 integrated amp. It just started out of no where. I was so pissed. I soon realized that it only happened when the halogen light in the next room was turned on. I switched my system to a different outlet (on a different circuit) and the problem went away.

so my advice to you is, find out everything that is on the same ciruit breaker as your system and start unplugging them one at a time to find out which of them causes the buzz.
