I want to put Outside speakers in my garage. Our garage is unheated and we live in NW PA. I'm debating whether or not to get the Atrium45 or 55. I want good sounding speakers with good bass. Are the 55's that much better to warrant the extra cost or will the 45's do?

We've owned the Atrium 55, it is in a garage that goes through cold and heat, and it pumps out plenty of bass (not ALOT or anything) and sounds excellent...

Excellent speaker. I have no experience with the 45.

I live in Warren County, NJ and have had a pair of Atrium45s mounted on my house, under the eves, for the past 3 years. I do not take them in or cover them during the winter months and other than a bird's nest being found behind one this year, they still look almost new. They are more than adequate for my modest backyard and the bass is OK, but I didn't expect subwoofer like bass from 4.5" speakers in an outdoor environment. Being mounted near 2 reflective surfaces (wall & roof of house) helps with some of the bass.

This is something else...I live in Warren County, PA! With using these 45's do you ever wish you would have gotten the 55's instead?

No, the 45s are just fine. I got a great deal on them and couldn't justify the extra cost for speakers I'll only be using for about 3 months out of the year.
