Directv just came out with this seasons pricing of $219.00 and if you want games in hd that will be another $99.00.I called them today and cancelled my auto-renew,hopefully enough people do this before the season starts and mabe they will see their mistake and change the pricing for the better.

That's over $100 more than when I first signed up about 6 or 7 years ago
I haven't seen my bill yet so I'll reserve judgement for now.

It's $140 more than the early-bird offer last year if you are getting the HD (which was was free last year). I'm not getting it this year and I will probably switch to Dish Network since they have 3 times the HD channels now and costs less anyway.

So this is about $70 > the early bird specials for NBA & MLB I bought this past year w/ digital cable. Its starting to get steep, but so is going to the game. $210 probably approximates what it would cost to go to 1 NFL game w/ parking, etc. For that, you get the whole season of all teams. Since my team is not in my local market, I would need this. Now if satellite didn't have a monopoly on sunday ticket...

I've noticed prices for DirecTV have gone up in the past handful of months. I understand needing to adjust for inflation, but D* was a great possibility for me because the money I would save over digi cable.
