It's finally out. I already got my copy. Had BB price match $9.99 that my employer sold it for (just didn't feel like driving all the way up there). KC'ers, get yours for the same and have BB/CC price match NFM's price. Hell yeah!

I think Toxis is refering to Team America.

Yeah, guess I figured it was implied but you kinda have to see it to understand. Team America... F*** yeah!

Watched this last night...absolutely hysterical. Trey and Matt skewer everybody.

Possible spoiler below...

How funny was changing the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) to the Film Actors Guild (FAG)? I was kind of surprised they didn't go after Dubya a bit...maybe that would just be too easy.

And the love scene? Waaaaaa!

LOL ....some of those scenes .... hilarious . Iam really surprised they got away with as much as they did (even for puppets) . Couple of spots were sloooooow and out of character , but over all it was fun .

What next ...hardcore puppet pr0n  :p

I'll say it since no one else has...

This is the most vile, vulgar piece of ****e I've ever watched!

I'm not super religous or Mr. Morality, but I felt dirty after watching this movie. I'm willing to tolerate alot, I'm even a fan of some of the South Park stuff...but this movie crossed the line too many times...

I smiled a few times, maybe laughed once...but overall hated this movie...what a waste of time. I'm glad I didn't watch this with the wife...

That's alright, I expected that type of response...guess I couldn't expect to express my difference of opinion without getting that response...

Funny thing is, I really didn't like any of it, not even the parts that weren't offensive...the Pearl Harbor song and FAG stuff were the only two things I even smiled at, and actually laughed once - at the Michael Moore stuff.

I mean, come on, all the Star Wars stuff has been done already...many times...

My friends that liked it said I just didn't 'get it', and that it is intelligent humor. No, I get it, all of it, I just found it unoriginal and not funny. It appears that the filmmakers sole device for creating humor was simply to 'shock' people with their vulgarity and obsenity. IMO, any 15 year old kid can make that into a movie - that doesn't take talent or effort, just being yourself.

I personally didn't find anything creative or intelligent about this movie. The one thing I did like though is that they didn't really target a specific group, they appeard to be 'unpartisan' in their bashing.

Funny Toxis, I don't remember being 'sarcastic' towards you when you categorically stated that all M. Night's movies suck...

EDIT: Forgot the smiley :D :p

I haven't got to see this yet, but have seen their SP movie and was a tad bit disappointed. I've always thought that SP is hilarious. I like that they don't seem partisan at all. Everyone is a target so no one group can feel singled out. Everyone is fair game.

BTW, PM is entitled to his opinion without it being pissed on.

Here's the deal on South Park. I love all the TV episodes I've seen, and I've seen most.

The movie was OKAY, but overall I didn't like it. There are things they can do in the movie that they can't on TV, so the movie is all about being as vulgar as possible, and that's the majority of what they use to get laughs.

Whereas, with the TV shows, they're a bit more limited on what they can do, so they're forced to get their laughs via other means. This makes them more creative, and as a result their TV shows are funnier to me.

I think these guys are extremely creative and funny, I just haven't seen it in their movies yet.

Again, anyone can be vulgar and obsene, that's not a talent of anything. It takes true genius and talent to be able to make people laugh without using that as a tool.

Exactly my sentiments to a tee!!!

I think he was just light-heartedly razzin you, PM. Hence the :p and ;) Let's not be all offended :)

PS I halfway agree with you guys - I don't think the movies, especially Team America, were as funny as the show CAN be, but I definitley didn't hate the movies to the levels you guys did. Then again, most of the times I saw the South Park movie i was ... uh... altered, and therefore nearly peed myself laughing at pretty much anything ;)

I saw the smileys, and didn't take it too personally, but the statement alone I didn't take in jest, smileys or not.

You can't just say whatever you want and then stick a :p at the end and expect people not to respond. If that's the case, here I'll go back to my original post and stick a :D at the very end and we're all good.

A statement was made that I felt was directed at me, and I have the right to respond, period.

:D

I never said I hated the SP movie, just disappointed that it wasn't up to par with the tv series. And I also said I had never seen Team America. I never comment on things I've never personally experienced.

bobman was right, it was just a lil razzin' and everyone got all up in arms. Lets go a head and move past this. Obviously it was taken way out of context...

BTW, M. Night does suck. :p
