just got back in town and have been playing with some stuff I got from Russ's garage sale. I’m burning in a Marantz 1122DC integrated amp. Sounds wonderfull! Very nice,warm sound. Other than raw power (61watts@ 8ohms), it seems to hold it's own with the Nad pre/power amp quite well.
I spent about 1 1/2 hours cleaning out the dust and wiping off the outside. The unit had a wood case that had seen better days, but underneath it looked quite good.
All the controls are working well. If it passes the burn-in, this amp will go in the front room to drive a pair of RTI4's. The wife watches movies there using just the tv speakers cranked up. She hates all things technical, so I'm hoping this setup will be simple enough to make her happy. Yeah, I know, not HT!!! I have a RTI10 3.1 setup in the family room that seldom gets turned on. I need a new house with a man-cave!

Congrats. Sounds like you got a very good piece of equipment. I'm sure it will pass your burn in. Those vintage int amps were built like tanks. Which NAD pre/amp combo do you own?

Nad 917 pre, 2400 power, and c521I cd player. I started out looking for a Marantz integrated, But fell into a bunch of good deals.

If the seller is offering you a good deal, why not. Just be prepared to do some maintanance on the unit if it's not already restored or have a few important parts replaced. The good news is that you can get all the help you need from online forums if you have a problem with the unit. audioasylum is a great place. Knowing how to solder (very easy) is very important.
