Hi:
I have a 20 year old set of SDA 2-B's, and recently purchased a Hitachi 57" HDTV...Will these un-shielded speakers effect the picture like a tube TV..???

If it is a CRT RPTV, then yes, it can have an effect like the old tube TV. If its LCD or LCoS or DLP RPTV, then it won't have an effect.

I have a Hitachi 57" surrounded by RTi speakers and two unsheilded subs. No problems here.
