Has anyone else seen this? It is a Korean -made film about two brothers being drafted to fight in the Korean War. I thought it was excellent. Excellent battle scenes (as good and certainly as graphic as SPR, for instance), decent (not great) sound, very good PQ. AND a terrific story and first-rate acting. It is worth reading the subtitles for this one guys. It is a bit long but most epics are. My local Blockbuster had it, yours might too.

I've gotten where I don't purchase many DVDs but I might have to have this one. It really is very good...if you don't mind some serious gore.

No, about the same in terms of gore. The battle scenes are shot in a similar style to SPR and Blackhawk Down...jumpy, edgy, chaotic.

I watched this last night, most impressive. The acting by the two brothers is excellent. The story line keeps you hooked and the battles are extremely well done.

Ron's word is good enough for me, I'll have to check it out.
" "Tae-Guk-Gi" is the most expensive Korean film ever made, costing 13 billion won ($12 million), with a cast of top Korean stars. "

Glad you liked it Ron. The battle scenes really kept me on the edge of my seat...first new film to do that to me in quite some time.
