The set up:
SDA2's
GFA 555 II amp
Conrad johnson PV10A
The amp keeps phase on the out put , this I know, but the CJ pre inverts the output to the amp. Am I correct in that I need to swap my speaker cables + for - and - for + at the speaker?
Just checking myself for the obvious.

NO, don't do that, another thing SDA's won't let you do.
You've seen all the talk about common and non common ground amps, and that you need a common ground amp, right. How the SDA crossover "connects" the ground of L and R channels. Well if you swap the leads, you would be connecting the positives of the L and R together. Big no no.

Thanks Russ ! good that that's cleared up 'cause I had that little voice reminding me about the speaker interconnect ,but it wasn't clicking for some reason.

Yeah, phase doesn't matter (SDA or not). We don't care if the speaker moves in or out first, as long as they are both doing the same thing.

Saw an article on this somewhere, the jist was:
from the singer to the mic to the board to the ...to the ... to the... in short in all the processes recorded material goes through from the studio recording to playback who the heck knows if the CD has the correct phase that was originally recorded.
So to worry about your pre amp inverting phase, you have a 50/50 chance it is actually correcting phase, and a 50/50 chance it is inverting it.
As Russman said, it is trivial.

Yup! Some Adcom pre’s and Dac’s have a phase invert switch. I’ve never understood what for. But you are correct many, many recording’s, as they go thru the “process” to the final product, go thru many phase inversions. Mostly because of lazy engineers and/or producers, some are just by accident though. It really makes no diff as long as both channels are in the same phase (normal or inverted).

Some disagree with Russ's quote. I wish I could find the article I was reading. I also have an inverted phase out of my source. There is a way around the phase problem with the SDA's. Leave the external wiring going to your speakers as is. Swap the (+) and (-) leads going to each individual driver (mids and tweets) inside your speakers. All will still work normally but the phase will be swapped. Very easy.

Scratch those; I’m at work and going way to fast. Those links I posted don’t really cover this topic. Interesting but out of the scope of inversion….sorry
