Jimmy Page and Brian May recieved honors at the Queen's B-Day bash.

On a funny note, A few weeks earlier, at a different function, she ran into the two guitarist and asked them what it was they did... :D

I guess she was educated afterwards. Page was dubbed Officer of Blah,Blah,Blahh...
May was dubbed Commander of Blah, Blah, Blahh.....

Just goes to show how out of touch the Royals are, STILL, with the public.

I mean, come on now, to have lived in England for ever and not know who Jimmy Page is and what he does just seems far fetched for even the Queen. Didn't "Queen" play for the Royals, for some reason or another, back in the late 70's or early 80's?

LOL. If anyone of them showed up it would have been Charles, Di, or one of the other youngns!

At 79 yrs old, I don't think rock & roll is the Queens thing!:D

I'm sure R&R isn't her thing, but to not even have heard of Led Zeppelin's guitarist seems strange. Maybe she's got "old timer's" disease or something.;) :p

John Mayall was also accorded the rank of "Officer of the British Empire" on the Queen's Birthday list.
