This one is a classic that has recently made its way onto DVD, and in a GREAT way. The A/V is excellent for a 1980 film, especially the DD 5.1 remix - incredible! Actually works the subwoofer VERY well! Plus, being a "reconstruction", there is something like 46 minutes of additional footage included! And Warner Bros. has obviously made every effort to piece it together seamlessly wrt both A/V quality - their efforts are to be commended.

Haven't even seen the entire movie yet - but will finish it tonight. Highly recommended for those that like this film and perhaps even a blind buy.

Remember the scene where one of the men stepped on a mine and blew one of his nuts off? OUCH!!!!!!

IMO, one of the best war movies of all time. LOVE IT LOVE IT.

Damnit, now you've done it. I'm going to have to go and find the dvd tonight and buy it. Can you get it at like Fry's or Best Buy or places like that?
