Mega CD changer skipping what to do?

Hello masters of audio, King of all.

My be-loved 300 cd changer is skipping :eek: Can I use a CD cleaner CD, if so what do you recommend? I tried an old Discwasher in it, but the voice never came up so I don't think it did anything. I could pull it apart to clean but it's about 95% full of cds.

Short of throwing it in the pool, any suggestions?

I would try cleaning the lens with a 35mm camera bulb lens cleaner. Get a good quality one.

Can you do that without opening her up?

No, you'll have to crack'er open to access the lens.

Do CD players die / wear out? This player is 4 to 5 years old, gets played a lot.
