Hello all,
I've been a member for a LOOOOONG time, (so long it seems, that the database kicked me to the curb) but here's my first post. I've got a set of RT35s with one speaker missing a working tweeter. I've had these things lying around, because I thought I would just have to buy a new tweet. Well, I swapped the pair's tweeters, and the failure seems to be tied to one cabinet. This would be the crossover, right? Well, I removed the crossover, and it 'appears' to be fine. No scorch marks or loose wiring/bad solder. Now what? Can I use a multimeter to check the thing out? Along the same lines, one of the woofers has had the dustcap falloff - literally. Should I worry about any debris getting into the voice coil gap? Can I purchase the dustcap? Also, can I purchase JUST the tweeter dome/voicecoil? The magnet structures on mine seem to be fine.
I look forward to any and all input. Thank you.
