Any fans of Earth Wind and Fire and/or Chicago should check out this DVD:

PQ is a 8/10 and SQ is a 9/10.
BB has it on sale this week ($15.99), you get two DVDs pack. Just finished watching DVD #1 and it has moved to #1 on my Concert DVD collections list.
Encoded in DTS 5.1, watch out for the horn sections and percussions.
ps: first concert that I know of where Philip Bailey's wife was also performing. I thought that is very cool!

They've been showing this in INHD (HD channel through Comcast) for a while now...very cool from what I've seen. Although some of those guys are just too old to be up there dancing around.
FWIW, they both had great horn sections, with EWF being perhaps one of the tightest sections around, next to Tower of Power of course...
Of course I didn't get to hear the DTS track on TV, but the DD 5.1 track was very good.

Ouch!
Btw, the bass on the DTS version is tight and better than the DD.

Ooooo, thanks for the heads up. I love EWF, although I friggin' hate CHI..at least anything after about Chicago VII or so. Gotta pick this up.

....welcome!
btw, Chicago is definitely aging faster than EWF. Check out track #5 on DVD #2: Chicago Set "Hard Habit to Break."
Simon from American Idol would have a field day on this one. Or, perhaps not, out of respect, though!
you'll see the downside of high resolution audio and video technology to the performing artists.

Hard Habit to Break. Man I don't know if I could make it through that song even when they were at their best. Reminds me too much off high school prom slow dances.
