I'm trying to add two speakers on my patio for a second zone.I'm not using the amps in my H/K as its duties are pre/pro,my set -up is 5.1 and my outlaw amp is only 5 channel in my main system. My H/k manuel says I need a seprate amp for a second zone, does anybody have any ideas as how I can use the amps in the h/k as a second Amp?There is a place on the rear of the H/K to connect an external amp via 2 rca jacks labled multizone.
Thanks
Mike

Not without modifying your receiver. Thus in turn maybe turning a perfectly fine pre/pro to a large paperweight or small boat anchor. I wouldn't do it with some decent inexpensive amp's on the market.

Hook them to the left and right mains. But thet will play as loud and when your playing the main zone. I don't think it's possible with your AVR.
But you probably don't need to have alot of power for the patio. DJ7 is right.

Thanks for the replys,I tried hooking them to the front channels and there was no way to isolate them unless disconnecting the patio speakers when I watch a movie.I know the newer H/k models that are 7.1 your able to use the extra surround channels if your main zone is 5.1.I guess its time to consider another up-grade.Overall I've been happy with this H/k but my next up grade will not be a reciever.:D
