MM120 and JL Amp

I just bought my MM120 and am thinking of powering it with a JL 500/1 Class D mono amp. Would this be a good combination?

Also, I like to listen to rap and rock, I like the low bass and the "punch" bass you get in rock mucic. Would a sealed box work for me?
