I went to see the Jets at Giants Stadium yesterday and was impressed by the stadium's sound system. They were playing random songs (rock, rap, country) while the Jets were practicing on the field 1 hour before game time. The sound was nice, full and even, unlike Yankee Stadium where there is an echo (probably due to the layout of the stadium).
Anyway, I started wondering how they set these systems up. How much power do they need to fill Giants Stadium, etc?

the sound at yankee stadium comes from one big row of speakers against the back of the stadium, where as Giants stadium has speakers all over the joint. for a stadioum, its not half bad.

Hi Lou,
HK sent it out UPS 2nd say air yesterday afternoon. I called to find out why it takes so long to do an exchange. The rep explained that the exchange was actually already processed and that the website was delayed in showing the status. When I got back from the Jets game that night, the site finally had a tracking number for it. I will have it on Tuesday.
I have to give credit to HK in that I asked them to ship the exchange unit using a faster method and they came through with 2nd say air.
Regarding the stadium, yeah I noticed that there were speakers all around Giants stadium. They Sounded pretty full and even. It was a pleasant suprise. Yankee stadium's speakers in one area make it sound very thin with lots of echoes.
Hope all is well
Mike

I noticed the same thing. The sound doesn't echo all over the place like I expected, and it sounds pretty good. I want to see their sound room :)

I work P/T as a Security Guard at Giants Stadium/CAA. I will try and find out how it is set-up and what they use to drive the mass amounts of speakers throughout the stadium.
BTW, how about the new widescreen display in the end zones. Very impressive looking.

Awesome! I would love to know what that sound system is made of.
And yeah, the widescreens are very nice too.
Thanks

definitly look for the hell of it, but my bet is some kind of pro amp stack, and probably wired in Mono. But who knows?
