Well... I see that it can be bought from an unauthorized dealer. I dont think that I would want to risk not having manufacturer support with an item THAT expensive.

Well well well... I should shut my mouth then.Actually, I think we're both right. On the drop down box, they're authorized, on the listing with the asterisks, they're not. However, given their very limited distibution, I'd be surprised if they're not. I think this might be a way of increasing their availability/visibility, as I don't think they have too many dealers.
ASD does seem to be authorized for some (but not all) of the brands they sell. How are the Martin-Logans working out?

The Martin Logans are working out real good, Tony... thanks for asking!
Powered with the Rotel RB1070, it seems like a real good match and both have quite the synergy. I have nitpicks, like I wish it were like 2 inches taller or I wish it were in black instead of cherry veneer (although cherry looks good by itself, it doesnt go with my furniture).
But the nitpicks are minor and these should last a very long time.
I have my eyes on some pretty expensive stuff for my next audio step - perhaps something along the lines of the Martin Logan Vantage or Summits ($5000, $10000 respectively) and I know it will be some time before I can pull the trigger on those.... most possible after I graduate.
So, needless to say, I'm working on my current system and optimizing it for the long haul. I'm looking for slabs of granite to put underneath the speakers so I can raise it about 2 inches and I'm working on my decor so I can fit the cherry better.
I was thinking about getting an RB1090 amp, but something financial dragged my attention away from the amp and I had to let the deal slip through my fingers.
This setup of mine is really satisfying though, better than I thought I could acquire with my budget. The only reason why I was able to put something of this caliber together was because of ebay and Tweeter deals - if it werent for that, I wouldnt have the money for this setup.
This is how I did it:
HK330 - sold for $300, bought the Rotel RB1070 (somehow, someway) for $400 off ebay.
Polk LSi9 and Polk LSi7 (ongoing) - sold for $1050 (approximate), bought $2000 ML Mosaics for only $1098 at Tweeter whereas Edge audio down the street had the Mosaics for the full retail price of $2G.
... That's all I really did, so I didnt really have any cash flow out apart from the few hundred that I had to cover on both ends.

For 18.5 KiloDollars I'd rather get a good used BMW 740iL and have a blast instead of trying to explain the intricacies of the ephemeral transients that transcend the reality of our transformation in spending that much for speakers.

Aww, man. I was fixing to pull the trigger on these - then I realized they only have them in the 'Titan shadow' finish. That would never go with the decor in my listening room.
*sigh*

I thought the Grande Utpoia's carried the biggest price tag?
Jesus, $130,000 for speakers? Ya know, even if I won the $300,000,000 Powerball I doubt I could spend that much on speakers in good conscience.

Why not go all out for the Wilson Alexandria for a meer $135,000 a pair. Of course that doesnt include structural upgrades to your house to hold the 1500 lbs of speaker. Oh and the crane to haul the 2300 shipping crate they come in.
