I have a pair of older Polk Audio speakers I bought used about 8 years ago. I used to have the boxes they came in, and it had the model number on it...however, these were thrown out about 4 years ago. The speakers themselves have no model number on them...only a serial number and labels that say "Left Channel" and "Right Channel", located just above where the connections are made on the back. The serial numbers are:

LC 11 3141 and RC 11 3166.

I have pictures, but am not sure how to post...

The speakers are about 33" X 16" wide X 12" deep, and have a tweeter, two midrange's side by side, and a woofer below.

They are fantastic speaker, and I enjoy them very much. I would like to have an owner's manual to go with them, but need to know the model number first.

Any one have any idea? As I said, I have pictures that I could email if that would help.

Thanks,

Tom

Sounds like a monitor 11 to me. Very rare. Great sound. If this is them and you want an owner's manual I can send you one in an e-mail. PM your info.

Do they look like this?:

He'll know when he looks at them & the pic. I posted above :)
Monitor 10's were not labeled Left & Right BTW.

There is a little manage attachments button at the bottom when you go into advanced reply. From there you just click browse then find your photos and click upload. When it is done uploading you can close that window and go from there.

btw cool speakers. They don't come up very often. What kind of condition are they in?

Very cool Tom  Mine are a little lighter in color - the 11's shown in the 1st pic aren't mine.

They weren't actually marked left and right channels from the factory, were they???

They shouldn't have been... no need to. But who knows, Polk was doing odd things at the time. :)

Yes, they were/are. They're referred to as RTA11 Reference Monitor System (Model 11) in the manual. Doro and F1 will tell you that it was just a snafu. I'm just telling you what the manual says. Mine are labeled the same way. I believe BlueMD has a set and so does F1's pop.

I'm not saying they weren't, just that it looks as though the stickers on his were made by a label maker from Wal Mart.

Thanks to all for the info and support. I am driving these with a Rotel RB-5000 power amp, and a yamaha C-6 Tuner that I bought back in 1980 when I was stationed in Okinawa. They don't get much use, unfortunately, as they are upstairs and we don't spend much time up there.

That may change...I need to start spending more time up there appreciating them!
