Anybody heard any of the cd's from Instant Live? Instant Live is a product of Clear Channel. The idea is to use a couple sound of engineers and a mobile studio to record the live performance you are attending and then sell you a copy as a souvenier. Neat idea and it seems it's been slow to take off. If you didn't get them at the show certain artists were available at Best Buy for a limited time after the show (like a few months). Now Instant Live has their own web-store and you can buy shows that you are not attending.
Ever since Jewel's tour back in the summer/fall 2004 I've been trying to get a hold of copies of her Instant Live cd's. I saw her here in town but she wasn't part of the program yet. I've seen copies on e-bay and they usually go for between $120-$180 which is insane. They now have a past perfomances section on the web-store, but it says coming soon.
Anyone have any experience with these live cd's? How do they sound? I'm assuming they try to do a decent job, but obviously there is not a lot of mixing and mastering to be done afterwards if you can buy them at the show. If these shows ever become available thru Instant Live I'd like to get a few but only if I know the quality is decent.
