I had heard that Wish You Were Here was being mixed in SACD. About 6-8 months ago it was mentioned that it was nearing completion. Anyone heard anything on this?

For what it is worth, you are better off trying to find the original LP's in good condition, the problem with all the Floyd stuff being remixed, reissued, remastered etc. is that the original tapes they are being Remixed from are OLD, and suffer from age. Now I am not saying the remastering process isn't worthy. But it does sound different that the original pressing. Take Dark Side for instance. The original UK LP sounds different than the US pressing, and they both sound better than even the New SACD hybrid that they issued recently. Something was lost in this SACD mix. I don't know what it is, but it just doesn't sound right to me. And I have probably like many, listened to DSOTM hundreds of times.

Just my opinion.........

I do have the original LP's, the original CD's. I also have DSOTM on SACD and enjoy it very much...hence the excitment of hearing something different like WYWH on SACD!

I think it's out. I demo'd some naut 803's + musical fidelity kw500 + MF SACD player 'bout a month ago using WYWH and I think the guy said it was a SACD.

It is not out and I haven't heard anything about it for awhile now, very disappointing actually.
